Everyone dresses in their traditional costume called a bunad. All the houses have their flags raised. People come from all around giving her gifts days in advance. I have never experienced anything like this. It was such a special day. I gave a toast along with a speech in Norwegian... I didn’t have anything prepared so I spoke from my heart. I was so nervous and emotional. But it went really well, and I’m so glad I did it. The day couldn’t have gone any better than it did. I am such a proud and content mommy!
